A friend of mine has a problem to solve. Any help would be appreciated:

If a hand rail going up some stairs has a 42 degreee slope, then turns 45 degrees and continues up another set of stairs at 36 deegree slope at what angle(s) would yoiu cut the wood for the 45 degree turn meeting a 36 degree slope and what formula would you use in the future for this problem.

Thank you to any who respond

J

You have a friend, J ?

That's quite an interesting problem...I need an aspirin every time I read it
(I sure wouldn't want to slide down that bannister!)

I'm sure Gene will be giving you the solution soon
