I have answers to parts A and B. Would someone be able to give me a pointer as how to solve part C? Thanks.
 
When you substitute \(f(x)\) and \(f''(x)\) into the given ODE, what do you get?
 
To follow up...we find:

[MATH]f''(x)=4^2\left(3\sinh(4x)-4\cosh(4x)\right)=16f(x)[/MATH]
Hence:

[MATH]a=16[/MATH]
