I need help solving -5/6q-(q-1/2)=1/4(q+1). I know thew answer is q=3/25 because I looked in the back of the book, however, my answer is q=21/4. HELP!! :confused:

When you reply, kindly please clarify the original equation. As currently formatted, the equation may be as follows:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle -\dfrac{5}{6q}\, -\, \left(q\, -\, \dfrac{1}{2}\right)\, =\, \dfrac{1}{4(q\,+\, 1)}\)
