Ok, my problem is that I don't know how to figure out the calories and carbs in the amount I ate as opposed to those in a specific serving size.

1) 1 serving of carrots is 3 ounces and has 30 calories and 7 carbs.

2) The little bag I just ate has 1.3 ounces (and no nutrition values on the bag).

How can I find out the calories and carbs I actually consumed?

Carrots have 30/3 = 10 calories per ounce. That is, divide the value you want by the quantity it corresponds to.

Then, if you eat 1.3 ounces, multiply the calories per ounce by the number of ounces: 1.3*10 = 13 calories.

Similarly 7 carbs divided by 3 ounces is 2.3333 carbs per ounce; multiply by 1.3 ounces to get 3.033 carbs.

To put it another way, you ate 1.3/3 times the quantity in 3 ounces.

Thank you so much! That is what I needed to figure out any/all of the calories and carbs I eat.
