sir
I give you the problem& the solution ....pls explain me the soln-----
you may also refer any other solution
prob] Find the leasdt nintegral value of "x" in:
[x^2-10x+24]*[x^2 - 10x+21]*[2x^2-x-10] >0

Basically I did not follow what bit means, let me quote:
" The regions are as shown in the figure ......so clearly 3 is
the answer
................|
................|
...+......-2.-|......2.5.+3...-.....4.......+.............. 6.....-..7....+
................|......|......|..........|........................|...........|....
................|(0,0)
................|
the abovbe is graph
regards

[x^2-10x+24]*[x^2 - 10x+21]*[2x^2-x-10] >0
If you factor each term getting
(x-6)(x-4)(x-3)(x-7)(x+2)(x-5/2 )>0 you know that it is 0 at
x = -2, 2.5, 3, 4, 6, 7
I have to accuse you of mistyping the question AGAIN. Integers are the whole numbers, negative whole numbers, and zero.
F(-1000) is > 0 and certainly -1000 is an integer less than 3.
From what you have presented the question has to be
Find the least integral value of "x" >0 in:
[x^2-10x+24]*[x^2 - 10x+21]*[2x^2-x-10] =0
Then the choices are the 6 listed
-2 is not >0
2.5 is not an integer
3 is the first that fits.
Please copy the quesions exactly.

It may be the source that is wrong, but...

Sir
How are you doing today
probably I have left few of you fuming at my wrong English, however
let me know if the books' language is like this what could I do ? moreover
at least in this case this point came to my mind , but the answer was
3 , now that really confused me& for this I wrote the problem to somebody
whom I really up to as authorities in maths.
The book we should follow may not be changed since as of now this is the book that is followed by 100%(say) of the students here?

I have to allow for any errors since I speak no Hindi and don't know even one letter in Devanagiri but I did assume that your book was written in English and that you could copy it exactly as it was written. The mathmatical characters must be the same so that it requires only care, not knowledge, for the equations to be correctly typed. From the graph the author knew that everything below f(-2) was greater than 0 so >0 at the end of the equation had to be wrong. The smallest change that would make it fit the rest of the question is make it =0 instead of >0.
