More expanding brackets: (a - b + c)(a + b - c) = a^2 - (b - c)^2

I cant see how this works:



Multiply and simplify the following expression:

. . . . .( a - b + c )(a + b - c )

Answer:

. . . . . a 2 - (b - c)2

Do you know that:

(x+ y)*(x - y) = x2 - y2

What did you get, when you multiplied this out and you simplified? Where are you stuck in the process of converting the first expression into the second?
