21/6 + 28/6 -17/6 ????

49/6 -17/6 ???

Where am I going wrong?

3/2 + 8/3 - 10/6
9/6 + 16/6 - 10/6
15/6
5/2
2.5

Start by just multiplying your numerators by the numbers outside the quotes
then you just need to get each denominator to 6, so for the first number, just multiply by 3/3 to get 9/6, etc.

Hope that helps ^.^

The expression "3(1/2)" means "three halves". How are you getting that three halves is equal to more than three wholes? (Twenty-one sixths is 7/2, or three plus another half.)

Thank you.
