One Question Please explain if you can?

What is the last term in the expansion of the following power?
(y+1)^100

I know that the answer is 1 but I am not sure excatly what they re asking me about the last term in the expansion of the power.

I can only guess that this exercise was poorly written. The "power" is "100", and there is nothing to "expand" there. However, putting that power on a binomial does lead to a binomial expansion, which is what I would guess they meant.

Your answer is correct, of course. The last term in this binomial expansion would obviously be "1".
