A communications channel transmits the digits 0 and 1. However, due to the static, there is a 1% probability that any digit transmitted will be incorrectly received. Suppose that we were to transmit an important message consisting of 10 digits. What is the probability that the message will contain an error? Give your answer correct to four decimal places.

"Containing an error" means "containing one or more errors". What is the probability that the message contains no errors? Subtract this probability from "1" to get the answer.

If you get stuck, please reply showing all of your work and reasoning so far. Thank you!:D

Ok..so....this is what i have...is this right?

1-p(no error)
P(receive any digit correctly)= 1-0.01=0.99
P(no error)=(.99)^10
1-(0.99)^10=0.0956
