Here's another one: Five times the complement of an angle less than twice the angle's supplement is 40 degrees. Find the measure of the supplement.

Be systematic. No guessing or wondering.

A = Measure of the angle
90 - A = Measure of Compliment
180 - A = Measure of Supplement

Five times the complement of an angle less than twice the angle's supplement is 40 degrees

5*(90-A) - 2*(180-A) = 40

Solve.
