I dont understand how to do this.. here is the problem

tell whether the data show direct variation. If so write an equation relating x and y..

this is one of the problems x 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
y 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

The equation for direct variation is
y = kx
where k is a constant,
k=y/x
Only if for every one of your points P(x,y) y/x = the same number is it direct.
