Arc length AB

Radius 4

angle length measure is pi/6
Hi @Mathwiz69,

What is your question? (You don't tell us!)
Do you simply wish to calculate the length of the arc
AB?

You are given the measure (not "
length") of the angle subtended by the arc at the centre of the circle (π/6) so what fraction of the whole circle does this sector occupy?
That will give you the fraction of the circle's circumference that the arc represents, won't it?
And I trust that, given the radius of the circle (4 units), you know how to calculate the circle's circumference, thence....

Want to know the length of the arc AB
Still???

If you can't work that out by following the procedure I outlined for you (
above) then you will have to tell us what you can't (or don't understand how to) do in trying to follow that procedure.

For example, given the measure of the angle subtended by the arc at the centre of the circle (as π/6), do you not know how to calculate what fraction of the whole circle the sector occupies?

Or, are you unsure of how to work out the circumference of a circle whose radius you are given (as 4 units)?

I, basically, told you how to do the problem. If you are still struggling you will have to tell us what your difficulties are in more detail (or explain what you don't understand about the steps I provided).
