Question A supermarket orders eggs in boxes of six. The probability of a box holding at least one broken egg is 0·018. In a delivery of 300 boxes of eggs, 7 boxes had at least one broken egg. Is this more or less than expected? Use your working to explain your answer.

Would this be as simple as 7 divided into 300? so the answer would be 0.023 which would be more than expected?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah that's one way.
I'd calculate the number of boxes expected to contain at least one broken egg to be 0.018 x 300 =5.4 boxes. So you expect 5.4 boxes and get 7 boxes, so more than expected.
Just a different way of coming to the same conclusion.
