My instructor is teaching about computer generated numbers and how a computer uses an equation to give you the "random" numbers. I have to figure out the equation. She said the common number between all 4 of the numbers is 50. The equation for each number is the same. I have tried for hours but can't seem to figure this out.

I would say you are looking for an expression, not an equation. And I don't like this question. Such expressions are not obvious, otherwise the numbers would not appear random.

Were you shown any specific methods of pseudo-random number generation (involving something called a "common number") that you might be intended to use? We need that context.
