I am hoping for some help with the following two problems:

1) [ 32 x^(-3) x^2 ] / [ 24 x^2 x^5 ]

So far, I have gotten:

. . .[ 4x - 4] / [3 x 4]

2) [ s / (4 t^2) ]^3 [ (3 s^2) / (2 t^4) ]^(-4)

So far, I have gotten:

. . .[ 324 s^11 t^6 ] / 9

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

Until we can see your steps, there is no way to know what you are doing, right or wrong.

Thank you.

Eliz.

In the first expression, you had only multiplication and division. How did you manage to get addition in your numerator?

You may wish to have the heart-to-heart with your teacher sooner than later.
