The most efficient way would be to find the sum and then find the magnitude of the resultant.

I disagree with Mr Khan.

The way I read Question 1 is that you need to find the magnitude and direction of vector A and then do the same for vector B.

For Question 2, you first need to find vector PQ and then find its magnitude and direction.

Did you type this question in yourself? It's a bit strange. Question 1 is either
- two questions, where A is one vector and B is another vector
- or A and B are points and the vector is AB

Also, do you need to find a "direction vector" or an angular direction (in degrees)

Neither question involves a sum.
