Suppose the sales of a particular brand of appliance satisfy the relationship , where S(x) represents the number of sales in year x, with corresponding to 1982. Find the number of sales in 1997.

I sure can't...please re-read the problem you've typed. Have you included all of the information?? What "relationship", and with "???? corresponding to 1982."

Perhaps if we see the complete problem, we might be able to help.

So where are you stuck?

First find 'x' - how many years between 1997 1nd 1982?..........................x[sub:26gn07k7]1[/sub:26gn07k7]

Then find

S(x[sub:26gn07k7]1[/sub:26gn07k7])
