1. Consider the function [imath]f(x) = -4x^2 + 4x + 3[/imath]

a. Change [imath]f(x)[/imath] to vertex form. Show algebraic work to support your answer.

Please understand that this is a help forum and as a result no helper here will solve your problem for you. Read the forum's posting guidelines.

Completing the square to find the vertex was supposed to have been covered in your textbook and in your classroom lecture before you were assigned questions on the topic. Since this background appears to be missing, and since it is not reasonably feasible to attempt here to replace that chapter in your textbook, please try online lessons, such as in the listing here.

Once you have studied at least two lessons from the listing, please attempt the exercise. If you get stuck, please reply with a clear listing of your thoughts and efforts so far.

Thank you!

Eliz.
