Hi,
Is the answer:
y(x) _homogenous =v(x)
y(x) _private =u(x)v(x)
?
Or they refer to something else?

I agree that [imath]v(x)[/imath] is the homogeneous part of the solution. If 'private' is a synonym for 'complimentary' or 'particular' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variation_of_parameters), the it sounds right too. But this is not the full answer: it seems that you are expected to actually write the solution of the equation.
