help! question that has ratio and quantity

Havent been able to start it as im stuck but im trying to prepare for next year university and these are some of the mock questions

You'll have to decide what "(1:1:6)"' means. Is that a proportional shape of something?
You'll have to convert from mm^2 to m^2 a few times.

You really should get a better translation. Are you expected to function with poor grammar?
