To AngleRoman, Due to my training in what is call the Texas-Method, the wording of definitions is really important.
This is just a convention - no particular reason behind it. We write (x,y) - first the independent variable (x) then the dependent variable [y or f(x)].It's confusing to know the right order of what goes first. I'm having a hard time understanding if the function's value is -5 at -25 or -25 at -5. I don't understand the difference.
