I'm stuck on 1-4, I just dont know where to begin or how to solve the problem, I think I'm just supposed to use y=mx+b for the first problem but theres no answer key so I'm not sure.

Yes... you are supposed use y = m*x + b

Since you have answered 1 already - you know what is 'y' & what is 'b'.

Now tell us what are the values of 'm' and 'b' - according to the given equation in your assignment.

I take it that the given equation is "house price= 98.24833+ 0.10977(square feet)".

It took me a moment to realize that the "square feet" is the independent variable, not just a descriptor!

Essentially that is saying "y= 98.24833+ 0.10977x".

The "slope" is the number multiplying x.

The "y-intercept" is the y-value when x= 0.

"3" and "4" ask for y when x= 2000 and 4000.
