i got a state test got to study really hard stuff. I am in fourth grade and this is my question:

Mark was surprised to find that the mean, median and mode are the same for the 5 scores his teacher has given him on his 100 point exams. Unfortunately, before he could show his mom his work he spilled a drink on his paper all he could see the 3 scores were 85,65,and 70. What were the missing scores? :?: :(

Re: help help i got a state test got to study really hard stuff

the 3 scores are 65,70,85

mean = sum divided by 5
mode is number repeated the most
median is middle number or third on the list

let us make 65 the mode
we then have at least two 65's
the median is ,or third number on the list is 65, and the last number must be less than 65

A,65,65,70,85
mean =65 = [A+65+65+70+85] / 5
65x5 = A + 285
A= 325-285
A=40

40,65,65,70,85
===============================================
see if there are other answers to the problem
I believe there are
