Given that 25+px+16 is a perfect square and p>0, find the value of p

I'm not confident that you wrote the equation correctly. Why isn't it written as px+41? And why are there two variables but you are only asking for p?

My guess is that it's supposed to be 25x^2+px+16, and you want a perfect square trinomial, not a perfect square number. In that case, it's easy.

I too think you meant 25x^2+px+16

You asked for help but failed to tell us where you are stuck. Please post back showing us your attempt so we know what type of help you need.

Good, we were correct.

So, how have you tried to solve it? Do you know what a perfect square trinomial looks like?
