Hi everyone. This section of homework has been giving me some problems. This one says: Merilee sells tomatoes at a roadside stand. Her total receipts including 7% sales tax were $462.24. What amount did she collect.
Maybe I am just looking at this problem wrong.
I thought it would be:
x - 0.07x = 462.24
0.93x = 462.24
But that just doesn't work out....
Am I using the wrong formula or am I switching things around...?
