For [MATH]k[/MATH] a positive integer, and [MATH]\delta \in (0,1)[/MATH]: [MATH]\frac{\sqrt{(1- \delta)^{2k} + 4\delta} \ - (1-\delta)^k}{2\delta}[/MATH]
