Ok thanks for letting me know! I'm really really stuck on this question :oops:
The question is:
Find the value of m for which the following simultaneous equations have infinitely many solutions

mx−4y=6

3x−(m−1)y=2m

I rearranged the equations to be:

y=1/4mx-3/2

y= -2m-3x/m-1 ..................................................................... Incorrect

I'm not sure what to do from here onwards?

If the equations
ax+by=c
and
mx+py=q
are 2 linear equations where the variables are x and y and the other letters are constants,
what is the condition for them to have infinitely many solutions?

3x−(m−1)y = 2m

(m-1)y = 3x - 2m

y = 3/(m-1) * x - 2*m/(m-1)

Now please respond to question posed in response #2
