Transformation and Stretching Help f(x) = x^2

If any other information is needed, I'll add it, I'm really struggling since I don't have the proper resources and I've been very sick so I cant go to my math class.
 
In y=A(x-B)2+C, A is the vertical stretch, B is the horizontal shift and C is the vertical shift.
Hint: You have no horizontal shift and no vertical shift making B=C=0

Please show us an attempt, so we can see where you need help, if at all. If you can't do anything, perhaps show us a worked example you were given (with vertical and horizontal stretches) so we can see how you are being taught.

I can guess what is meant by "mapping notation", but an example can confirm it.

There is something interesting about the answers to these two questions, which will be instructive.
