Figuring out the radius of a sphere, using only the volume

\(\displaystyle If\:V=\dfrac{4}{3}\pi r^3 \:then \:\dfrac{3V}{4\pi} = r^3\). Solve for r. Please stop using decimals

Please stop using decimals

I believe the student is expected to approximate the answer with decimals. The volume is given in decimals (volume of 1.73 m3) and the answer is needed correct to 1 decimal place.

Moreover, how would the student use calculator if you "ban" decimal work?
