Can you help me with adding fractions with different denominators?
12 9/16 + 17 3/4 + 8 1/8 =
34 2/3 - 16 5/6 =
12 9/16 + 17 3/4 + 8 1/8 =
34 2/3 - 16 5/6 =

37 23/16 is same as 38 7/16, aberf: so you were more or less correct;aberf said:Thanks- I will try more problems to be sure I'm clear. I did not initially change into improper fractions- I came up with 37 23/16- and I was stuck... but, improper fractions that's a good way to do it. Thanks again.
