0.3y-8<2.6y+15

i solve d y<10 and I wrote {x} is a number less than 10 does anyone know if this sounds write

Solve and write set notation: \(\displaystyle \: 0.3y\,-\,8\:<\:2.6y\,+\,15\)

We are given: \(\displaystyle \:0.3y\,-\,8\;<\;2.6y\,+\,15\)

Subtract 2.6y from both sides: \(\displaystyle \:-2.3y\,-\,8\;<\;15\)

Add \(\displaystyle 8\) to both sides: \(\displaystyle \;-2.3y \;<\;23\)

Divide by negative \(\displaystyle 2.3\): \(\displaystyle \;y \:>\:-10\)

Answer: \(\displaystyle \;\{x\,|\,x\,>\,-10\}\)
