SOLVE EQUATION

(1) 9X-7Y=58
(2) -6X-3Y=57

We need to know what method you want to use to solve this system of equations. If it is the addition-subtraction method, you might multiply both sides of (1) by 2 and both sides of (2) by 3, then add the two resulting equations and solve for y. Gotta go.

You could also use the substitution method, solve for either X or Y in one equation, and plug in that into the other to solve for one variable.

-2x - 19 = y

9X - 7( -2x - 19 ) = 58
