5# summary, find % btween 2 of them

Ok.. so the 5# summary is:

100, 110, 120, 160, 200

The question is: about what percentage of women weigh between 110 and 200.
I have the answer.. it is 75% (it's in the book). And i could write that down and learn nothing but if any one could show me how to do this i would be grateful.

Here is what i do know..

100 = minimum
110 = quartile 1
120 = mean and median
160 = quartile 2
200 = max

I just don't know where to even start...

A good place to start would be with the definition of "quartiles". :wink:

Well a quartile is 25% of the data.

So if i took the amount between each as 25% and there are 4 .. then cutting out one gets 75%. Hrm.. it seems odd to be that easy though.
