X: a random variable following a normal distribution.
A sample is taken from a population.
If for sample: n= 8
And sample mean = 7.2

(i=1) Sum (n=8) [x(i) - x-bar ]^2 = 3.44

Calculate a 99% confidence interval for the population standard deviation?

I got the CI for population variance to (0.17;3.48) Is this correct?

Should I take the square root now or how do you solve for standard deviation CI?
