A basketball team normally hits 40% of its 3 point shots, 55 % of its 2 point shots, and 75 % of its free throws. What is their most likely point total if they 20,60, and 20 of these shots, respectively?
* Here is my work so far: Do i square the product of each equation?
20 x .40= 8
60 x .55= 33
20 x .75= 15

The question seems to be asking for a Mean, not a Variance or a Standard Deviation. Why would you square anything? You may just wish to add up the three sources of points and get the total.
