The percentages of copper and iron in a certain kind of ore are, respectively X1 and X2. If the joint density of these two random variables is given by:
3/11*(5x1 + x2) fo x1 > 0 x2>0 and x1 + 2x2 < 2
Use the distribution function technique to find the probability density of Y = X1 + X2. Also find E(Y), the expected total percentage of copper and iron in the ore
