Hi,

I am having trouble making a decision on whether these are qualitative or quantitative.

1) Number of people surveyed.

2) Age.

3) Number of hours worked.

4) Number of hours exercised.

Are these qualitative or quantitative?

Any help would be great. Thanks

What is the definition of "qualitative"? What is the definition of "quantitative"? ;)

Here's a hint:
qualitative. What is another word that uses quali as a beginning?
quantitative. What is a similar word with quanti?

I can tell you this much: one of these is for describing countable (numbers, amounts) traits, and the other one is for describing observable traits (color).

With that in mind, are these phrases describing countable or observable traits? Then use that, with the hint at the top, you will be able to figure it out.
