By convention they usually are non-overlapping and of equal size which generally makes it much easier to derives some of the usual quantities. However, in reality, they do not have to be of equal size nor, in fact, non-overlapping [depending on just who you ask].Hey, i need to quickly know can the intervals on a histogram be different in sizes, e.g 11-20, 21-35,36-59 .....
