Hi I am trying to figure out the odds of getting an item from a mystery box in a game. I figured out there is a 0.77% chance of getting the item for one item spin in one box. But there are three items per box. So how can I figure out the percent change of getting the item I want in a box? I was given the following formula online
P% = (100% - (99.23%)N/3)
N is supposed to be an exponent btw. N is the number of boxes. But when I plug in one box I get the number -976977.413467. So I am not sure if I am entering the formula wrong or if the formula itself is wrong. Can someone please help me with this?
