I have a few questions I am struggling to answer. My basic grasp on probability is lacking. Can anyone help explain to me how I would work through these 3 problems?
What is the probability of drawing a flush?
---- I know I need to calculate the possibilities - and I have been able to find out that the number is 1287 but I do not know how they got that number. It had something to do with using factorials, but I was not able to follow that.
What is the probability of having 12 children and having at least 1 girl?
---- (1/12)^12 --- ????
There are 13 women and 87 men - what is the probability of picking 3 and having them all be women?
----- (13/87)(12/86)(11/85) = 0.00269824048 Am I heading down the right road?
