A dot is another of the ways of indicating multiplication. We use an * here. You should be able to tell from other examples in the book(?) if they use the dot.
If it is, check your multiplicatin. You are close but not right on.
the dot is used instead of a multiplication sign so you have to multiply 9.554*1.599 =15.1845....i dont know what instructions the book tells you to do but thats what the dot means....
