Henry packed some apples in a box.The total mass of the box and the apples was 16240g.He packed some strawberries in a similar box.The total mass of the box and the strawberries was 6350g. The mass of the apples was 3 times that of the strawberries. Find the mass of the apples.

So do the bar drawing: You have a rectangle the represents one mass for the strawberries, three rectangles representing three masses for the apples, and additional rectangles for the boxes.

If you subtract the lower row of shapes from the upper row, what will you have left? Then how much is one mass? Then how much is three?
