e.g. of a great circle on equidistant cylindrical map
1. What is the general formula for a great circle on an equidistant cylindrical map?
2. What is the iterative formula ?
i.e. given position x,y, and direction angle, and velocity on a map find new position and direction
to find the maths for iteration will require translation of x,y,d into long,lat and alpha angles, where alpha is compass angle, then translate ther spherical coords back into map co-ords.
