LCD of non-integer numbers

What do you mean by "least common multiple" of non-integer numbers?

Although it is not standard and I haven't found any "official" source, I know that this idea is taught by some teachers, due to past questions about it. What they usually mean is the least common integer multiple of the fractions.

Here is one source for the idea: https://us.edugain.com/articles/6/LCM-of-Fractions/. I have also seen the idea of the least integer that is a common integer multiple. In this case, the result is the same.

I don't know that the concept has any mathematical significance, but we might as well go along with their teacher ... though I wanted to see work, partly to find out what this teacher means by it.

I also discussed this idea (not from a teacher but from someone who needed it for some application) here: http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/77802.html .
