Hi all

I have another log question which I was hoping someone could shed some light on. The problem is this:-

Make x the subject of this equation

log(x) = 14+t^2 (log to base 10)

I make it to be x = 10^ 14+t^2

Any ideas if this is right??

Thank you.

Yes, that's right, as long as you parenthesize sufficiently: x = 10^(14+t^2).

You are using the fact that the log is the inverse of the exponential function, so that if log(x) = u, then x = 10^u.
