You have gotten 2 wrong answers. You must have done some calculations. We can't correct what we can't see.
It appears that you are voting with the other guys as to what the problem is. If so you type it as either
log_8(x)=1/3 or
log<sub>8</sub>=1/3
 
Their problem has an integer answer. Both my problems give decimal answers. Your tries have all been integers, so I GUESS you are using
log<sub>8</sub>(x)=1/3
as the correct problem and are using sorobans explanation. What don't you understand about it? Do you know that 8^(1/3) = cube root of 8?
