Let a,c belongs to {2,4,6,8,10,12}& b belongs to{22,24,26},where a,b,c
are distinct.Find the number of equations of the form
ax^2+bx+c=0, that have real roots
 
How far have you gotten with plugging stuff into the discriminant (from the Quadratic Formula)?

basically I am not really getting it
, some body just now told me that here maximum of 4ac=480, but how , he probably used a s/w
 
Or the discrinimant of the Quadratic Formula.
