How many combinations of how many marbles? Or are they asking you for the number of combinations of any possible number of marbles, from one through thirty-six?

You need to re-post the question. The word combinations used that way makes absolutely no sense.

It could be "how many ways can we select six of the marbles?" Or some such. What is the actual question?
