so I have an equation Im stuck on which is 7y-2x>= (greater than or equal to) 7y-8 I was able to break it down to x=4 but I am not sure if Im doing it right though. I basically subtracted 7y from both sides then I divided -2 from both sides to get my answer. So far am I heading in the right direction? if so what do I do next to figure out y?

How did you manage an EQUALITY when you started with an INEQUALITY? Something went seriously wrong.

7y - 2x >= 7y-8

Subtract 7y

-2x >= -8

Add 8

8 - 2x >= 0

Add 2x

8 >= 2x

Divide by 2

4 >= x

Still an INequality.

You seem to be close. Be a little more formal and you will have it.
