X leaves a will

a) gets 26%
b) gets 18%
c) gets 18%
d) gets 18%
e) gets 10%
f) gets 2%
g)gets 2%
h)gets 2%
i)gets 2%
j)gets 2%

= 100%

e) gets taken out of will by virtue of the fact he dies before the will is executed what are the
percentage increase to the remaining 9 beneficeries on a pro rata basis.

Since e gets 10%, the others, altogether, get 90%. That is the base you want to distribute. a, for example got 26% of 100%, now he gets 26% of 90%- that is, .26/.9= ?

Another way to look at this might be that the 10% e leaves for the other nine is evenly distributed.

How would 10 % percent be divided nine ways?

Please show work.

No! Because they are not left equal shares of the original amount, they should not get equal shares of "e"'s share.
